Yesterday afternoon was the opening reception for the brand new Schor School Midway Gallery. Art teacher, Melinda Deegan, worked very hard to be able to create an amazing space to exhibit student work. The space looks great and the artwork outstanding! My students at the high school wanted to do something special for the Schor School Art Club students that worked along side Ms. Deegan to create the space. Students created whimsically decorated Art Rocks with a variety of inspirational messages and images. The rocks were delivered during the reception with the message that we think the Schor School Art Program ROCKS! Can't wait to work with these students once they begin high school. Keep up the fantastic work!
Photo Design has been busy practicing selection tools using Photoshop. Students are off to a great start with this program. Check out some of their unique "fruit/veggie creatures" they made while practicing new skills.
The annual William Paterson exhibit for high school students wrapped up on February 7th, with an awards ceremony. All students whose work was selected for ARTStart received a certificate of recognition from the University.
6 PHS students had work accepted to the William Paterson University annual high school student art exhibit. In addition, one student received an honorable mention award for the Digital Photo category! Great work! |
